Dill Turkey Salad Wraps

Standard

Growing up, my mom always did a phenomenal job of making our family healthy, delicious meals. Some recipes were from family or friends, while others came from her magazines and cookbooks.  No matter the source of each particular recipe, there is something special about preparing meals that remind me of home.  This recipe is based on my mom’s turkey salad pitas. It is an easy, fresh, summer recipe where guilt-free creamy meets crunchy!  The recipe below makes 4 satisfying wraps.  At about 300 calories, this meal will keep you feeling light.

Ingredients:
Fat free Greek yogurt, 2/3 cup
Light mayo, 1 Tbsp
Turkey breast, 1.5 lbs diced into 1 inch cubes
Celery, 1 cup chopped
Green onion, 2 onions, chopped
Garlic powder, 1/4 tsp
Dill weed, dried, 1/4 tsp
Black pepper, 1/8 tsp
4 Multi-Grain with Flax “Flat Out” Wraps
4 cups chopped romaine lettuce

Directions:
Super simple! Just combine first 8 ingredients in a large mixing bowl (yogurt through black pepper).

Add about 1 cup of lettuce to each wrap and top with 1/4 of the salad mixture.

Attachment-1 (6)

Serve while still cold and enjoy!  NOTE: This meal is best served fresh as the yogurt will separate a bit as it sits in the fridge.  If you do plan to eat it leftover, it will still taste great, just be prepared to have to reincorporate that liquid/stir it back up!
